Trainer Options

Numpad 1: Capture Pirate Data

For the options to work, it's best that you got through a little bit
of the initial tutorial, then EXIT the game when you are at a friendly
port where you can buy and sell items. Close the entire game.
Next, re-run the game, and try the options at the port where you can
see your GOLD amount.

Numpad 1: Capture Pirate Data - you must use this first, then you can
use the options below to set the values to the values shown in
the trainer. The values in the trainer can be modified.

Numpad 2: Set Gold - use Capture Pirate Data, then press this to modify
the value.

Numpad 3: Set Captain Skills Points - use Capture Pirate Data, then press this to modify
the value.

Numpad 4: Set Captain Level - use Capture Pirate Data, then press this to modify
the value.

Numpad 5: Set Captain XP - use Capture Pirate Data, then press this to modify
the value.

These scan exclusions in your security software might be necessary to run this trainer:

The trainer exe file (or the folder its stored in)

The "Work" folder located here:

C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Cheathappens\



Mute Hotkeys:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To temporarily disable the Hotkeys, press CTRL-H after trainer is
activated. You can use CTRL-H to re-activate the Hotkeys as well.
You can also mute specific hotkeys by changing the hotkey you want
to mute to 'NONE'.


VR Mode
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- HTC Vive
Click on the VR MODE button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons.
Activate the trainer as usual with your keyboard. Put your HTC Vive on and
when you are ingame press the MENU button on the hand controllers to open
the steam overlay. At the bottom you can click on the DESKTOP button and you
can easily press options on the trainer with your hand controller now.

- Oculus Rift
As of now the oculus has no unique input device and uses keyboard or xbox
controller. Both are support by the trainer already.

I like the game but I don't understand what "capture pirate data" is and how to initiate it so the cheats will work. I have tried to find the connection but I am lost.Num 1 just says "please wait" and then "failed". the others say "activated" but nothing happens. I've never had this much trouble with a cheat before. Sorry.

Have you read the instructions provided with the trainer?

Then use Numpad 1 to capture the data. Have you tried it this way?

Unfortunately I have a similar problem. No matter what I try (including the trainer's instructions and aforementioned way), it seems to fail every time. By now I have 5800 gold and am told to take on the second "named" pirate. Do I have to be even further in the game? What other actions are required or suggested?

I downloaded the game from Steam and our latest trainer.

As described in the trainer instructions I went through the tutorial to the point right after the first ship battle, went to the pirate warehouse, looted it and sailed to one of the new ports.

Exited the whole game to Desktop
Cleared PC memory and Temp folder
Launched our trainer with admin rights
Launched the game
Pressed F1 to activate in the main menu (where you start the game) -> got Activated confirmation
While in the port pressed F4 for the cargo shop (or left-click on the Cargo Shop icon in the upper left corner)
Saw my gold amount (and where you can purchase cannon balls etc)
Pressed Numpad 1 -> got Activated confirmation
Pressed Numpad 2 -> gold set to 9999999999

Used other options as well and saw the change by entering the Captain Skills menu -> Pressed ESC -> Selected Captain Skills

Of course I have the necessary scan exclusions created in my security software.

Well past the tutorial again, but made sure I was in a proper port.
Closed the game, deleted all temporary files, restarted computer.

Checked exclusions and security software status, both excluded and turned off.
Opened trainer with admin rights, version is latest
Started game on steam, latest by default
On main menu, trainer activates as it should,
Started the game and opened shop, seeing my gold count,
Pressed NumPad1 ... "Please wait" ... "Failed"
Test the other keys just in case and they indeed do not change anything within the game.

I have not had any problems with any of CH's other trainers (beyond things that a bit of searching and following instructions solved)

Could it be this particular trainer doesn't work on 64 bit?

I also wanted to thank you for the time already spent trying to help solve the issue, especially with the quick reaction for an otherwise low priority
