For some reason, lately, whenever I try to run a trainer, I get a pop up asking to select a program to associate the tmp file with. This is keeping me from running trainers. This hasnt been a problem on old trainers, but any that i download recently ask for it. Don't know what to do. 🙁

This file is a part of some of our trainers. Temporarily disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software. This type of issue can be caused by interference of third party software, typically security software. Some security products will still block or interfere with trainers even when disabled. Some must be completely uninstalled or the trainer and its temporary files whitelisted. Consult your security product documentation for instruction on how to do this.
or
Make sure you fully extract the trainer from the .rar, .zip or .zipx archive before trying to run it. When running it, please right click on the trainer .exe file and choose “Run as Administratorâ€. It may also be necessary to do this on the game as well. Trainers need full Windows permission to access the game in memory and create temporary files. It may also be necessary to give full permissions to the Windows TEMP folder.

Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Please note that some security products may still block access to trainer injection even when disabled and must be completely uninstalled. If this is the case, please contact the product vendor for instruction on the proper way to prevent the trainers from being blocked by their software or find a better alternative.
or
Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software that may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens
may need to be added to exclusions as well. Click and select "Run as Administrator", read the instructions and try again.

I seem to have come across the same problem. However, I deleted the temp file to allow the program the create a new temp file in its stead. Trainer worked completely fine after that.
The address for where you file is should be: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\
your .tmp file should be named ~Mnn133.tmp

You may be wondering "Hmm, so I have to run with no AV?" but there is a solution.
You can create an exception/exclude a folder from scanning. You need to do this for two folders.
Create a folder where all your trainers will live and make an exception/exclusion for that folder.
The second is here: C:\Users\USERNAME\Cheathappens
The trainers put other bits in here during operation and this is what the AV was blocking for me. As the authors keep saying, its AV/security software but rather then turning off completely you can use an exception.
Posted this here as if you google cheat happens tmp this is the first result.

We do have a handy page to help with this here. Link

This happens when you have an antivirus or other that blocks the execution of the trainer code by closing it, and Windows finds itself with a TMP that it tries to open while it is no longer attached to its executable.
For example I had the same thing with Kaspersky, it is imperative to put in the exclusion list (of the file analysis) the folder containing them with a correct cache.
Here is for example my rule of exclusion in image (in French but not annoying, you will see nevertheless how it is done).
NB: i have put jpg in attached file but i think this is not good, so i put imgur link : i.imgur.com/Jtghld5.jpg
