once u get to the spot where shelob is, use sams elven cloak to hide him from shelob. use the soldiers and archers you freed to attack and eventually shelob will die. if u bought the 'heal' power, you can use that if your soliders are low on health.

you try to free as many guys as possible GOD you guys dont now how to do it i beat shelob 3 times and sam never died and i lost at the MOST 4 guys attacking her

use the archers u should ave a bout 7 or 8
use sam too he has frodo's light of the evenstar

Well this is what I did, as a matter of fact I read your posts a few days ago before I did it which made me think 'great, shelobs gonna be impossible' but she wasnt really that hard in my opinion. Just free all the gondors that you can, altho u might have to be quick on the one near shelob, if u cant free him i think its ok, but after that, quickly sneak over to the hidden area to your right at the edge of shelobs lair, and shelob will start chasing u regardless, but in the mean time try to kill the orcs there then after u have take the outpost and begin fighting shelob then if u lose all ur soldiers then just build barracks then build your army.

so what difficulty do you guys play at?

As hard as it gets, no less, otherwise it's too easy.
