Is there any particular reason why a trainer (specifically the Galactic Civilizations III v1.71+ auto-updating trainer) would spool off a secondary ~Mnn133.tmp process which then decides it's kosher to scan the entirety of my harddrives' contents including the entire registry hive?

That is the trainer itself. Nothing malicious going on here.

Any chance there's some kind of a bug going on as well? Because it was murdering harddrive performance for 15 minutes straight while ballooning system memory usage by over 9GB before finally freeing up the resources again.
