So, just to make sure it won't risk my steam account: I rented my own server to play with buddies. While you already can edit some multipliers and play with admincheats from console, using the CH Trainer is far more convenient.
After disabling BattleEye and Vac protection, I can go ham and use some cheat options and will not risk anything, do I?

There is a command you can use to disable Steam VAC
you MUST Disable it otherwise if you use a trainer you CAN still be VAC Banned.
My suggestion is to not push it and Only use server cheats when playing on your server and Not to use the Trainer.
Just incase
I host an non-dedicated server on my pc to play with two other friends, i always start ARK with "No BattlEye", so my question is if i can use the Trainer on/in this server without risking a ban?
No sure how we are supposed to know this. Ask the game devs.
Well it could have been that some one tried it.
Thanks anyway.
Hi there AkiraFudo,
Just as CJ said it is better to be safe than sorry.
I would suggest doing what I did on my server back in the day. Just add yourself as an admin on the server and you can enable "creative" mode for your character. I am not sure what you would like to do exactly, but the creative menu should be more than enough to get unfair advantage over your friends. 😈
