Sometimes the Fast Research option results in something that stays stuck at 0% for me. Can't figure a pattern for when it works and when it doesn't.
Like it looks like the trainer worked, showing something like 10 days left to research, but days go by and time never goes down, bar stays completely black.

I have the same issue. Most researches are getting researched either right away after using this option, or get shortened down to a few days or less, but some researches never get to completion.
I am having this issue also. Cancelling the research and attempting to research it again without the trainer results with the chosen research saying 1 day left; it does not complete next day though.
