So, I am playing with the latest version of the game and the updated trainer. I activate in-game as the instructions require, and options 3 and 4 work as described, adding "fame" and "souls", respectively. When in combat, or using a skill that draws on magic, I will lose health and magic as I would without the cheat enabled, and will die if my health reaches zero.

I have attempted all of the usual remedies (a/v, firewall, run as admin), and I have followed all instructions in the readme to no avail. Thanks for any assistance!

Please provide a savegame with easily repeatable instructions so we can reproduce the issue. That includes where the location of the save file is, what situation it is in the game and what trainer options to choose that are not working or make the game crash etc.

Attached is the zip containing my "world." You should put the data in your the "Planet Centauri" folder found in your Documents. Options 1 and 2 are the nonfunctioning options.

When I reported the game that it needed an update which I saw someone else did as well, I didn't expect there to be another shortly after the first one so my first report is extremely off. Instead of the trainer partially working, it can no longer detect the game. I'm sure this has happened in the past with other games. Maybe a feature can be put into the website so we can update the reports? This way, ones sent can be updated with the correct information.
Doing an edit to update this post and not spam. I just happened to be looking in the steam folder where the games start up files are located to see if I could find an admin or dev server feature when I came across two startup files. One is PlanetCentauri.exe and the other PlanetCentauri_debug.exe. Not sure how steams client chooses between one or the other, but trying out both files with the trainer, I was able to ascertain that the old trainer will at least partially work with the PlanetCentauri.exe, but not the debug one which steams client tends to load up.

Another edit: Not sure when this trainer is getting updated, but if it's being worked on as I type this, I wanted to bring up an issue that I'm not sure if it's being caused by the update as I didn't own the game when it was 0.7.4 so not sure what I am seeing now is an effect of the update or the trainer. What I am seeing, the feature that changes a single item into 500, is duplicating everything fine except for items with a second stat. Somehow, the stats are not getting duplicated. For instance, if a pendant says +50hp on the first line, and +25 mana on the second line, when that item is duplicated, it only carries over the +50hp and the rest of the stats are missing. Most likely, the trainer was made before more stats were introduced to the game, but figure I say something just in case.

Thanks for the quick update. Not sure why, but it's always been easy to use a memory editor to change items and their stats, but for some reason, always have had difficulty where it came to finding a players hp. I started giving Cosmos a try last night. Looks similar to the memory editor I use which is Quick Memory Editor but a LOT more advanced. Figure I use Cosmos instead and test it on games I already know how to edit, then maybe hopefully learn the blind spots that have made it so difficult to find and edit things like HP. Been editing games as far back as Ultima III on the C128D with a utility called DiskPatch. Again, thanks to the staff who updated the trainer today.
