While the trainer still works fine for OpenGL API, it can not find the game on the Vulkan API. Can an update be released for the Vulkan Version (DOOMx64vk.exe). As it is a different named exe, with possibly different memory addresses too, the trainer will not work on the Vulkan version.

Will this trainer be updated to work with the Vulkan API? It would be appreciated.

This is just a request for update. Game updated on July 11th. Trainer needs to recognize both DOOMx64vk.exe and DOOMx64.exe.

I just compared the latest DOOM update (11-July-2016) without using the trainer, to see how frame rates compare between the OpenGL and Vulkan game executables. For my particular hardware, performance was always significantly faster using the normal OpenGL, DOOMx64.exe. I tested with either GeForce drivers 368.22 or 368.69, using DDU to clean up between tests.

In other words, as GeForce drivers, the Vulkan API, and DOOM game development stand right now, I'm better off just sticking with the 'normal' OpenGL DOOM .exe and the existing Trainer (30-June-2016 release). I still haven't tested suit or weapon tokens with latest .exe.

For me the Vulkan API means my GTX 1080 is maxing out the 165 hz refresh rate on my 2560x1440 monitor with everything maxed out. For me it's definitely better to use vulkan.

To EastBayGrease, there is no performance gain for 900 series. Known issue. Watch the video where they test Vulkan.

Steam version of the Game.
All options works perfect except suit tokens.
