there's no need to buy medals
however later cars can be unlocked by buying(real cash), its still able to unlock if u have the right amount of medals
may look at this during this long weekend. we don't particularly like having to work on BETA titles that are on the Windows Store, which are mostly set up to force you to buy stuff with real money (like iphone apps).

Obtain Medals (Every race you have to complete events to obtain medals that would be suffice)

Those are basically the cheats we will need. As for hacking to the medals to buy cars It doesn't work like that you have to buy them legit. There are over 100 cars and by pressing 4 to add medals after every race or so unlocks more cars for the event. Now If you choose to buy some cars then It's on you but this Is the longest Beta I have ever seen to be out and not to mention It has 1000 achievements. I don't think that a real Apex game will be release considering that this did well.
