Hello guys, I'm really happy we managed to fund the trainer. But now I'm wondering if there's going to be a trainer version for the original version of Seinarukana (the digital/retail version that JAST sells) which is the version I have.
Because this version is out now and the Steam one won't be released until fall.
Thanks.
yes, likely we wont be working on anything with this game until it releases in september on steam.
best,
Cal
but will you make sure the trainer works for both versions
or are you only doing the steam version ??
no idea.. we will be working on the steam version, if a trainer is doable at all.
it's interesting that this is mostly a graphic novel.. which we hate, since most of the games like this are actually reading and etc. also note that even on JAST they show this as a STEAM game. Why it's being released early there, we have no idea, but for a multitude of reasons we will be waiting for the steam version, and then we will see what is even doable.
playing a visual novel for 3 hours to make a trainer that works for 2% of a 'visual novel' experience isn't what this site is usually involved in making 'trainers' for.
best,
Cal
If someone wants to gift us a copy of the game and risk that it doesnt work here or doesn't have problems, that might help move the process along...

The reason for the two different releases goes like this:
The original vesion of Seinarukana is a +18 age game, then Xuse released a console version and since that version couldn't be +18 they made a new version where they took away the adult content and replace it with new content for those scenes, later they released a new PC port of the console version and added a new route.
The version that's out now in JAST in the +18 original version and the version coming out on Steam in September is the port PC version without the adult content, with the new content a another route.
People that bought the physical version of the game get the +18 version and a code for the steam version, those of us that bough the digital release of JAST get the +18 version but no code for the steam version with different content. That's why the trainer may only work for one version since the one that's out now doesn't use steam.
PS: This game isn't just 2% gameplay 98% VN reading. It has like 25 very long missions, plus 6 routes (with some like 6/7 different missions per route) and 3 difficulties normal/hard/super hard.
sounds like it will take forever to work on, with a lot of time between 'stuff' that might need trainer
also, sounds like it is an adult game, which is why it's being redone for steam..
