And the game is pretty freaking cool. It doesn't have all that much content in it just yet, but the mechanics and gameplay are solid as can be. The inflight gameplay has a sort of Freelancer feel to it, while the in-between session and upgrades elements are very much like FTL. It's a nice combination!

I've been able to throw some stuff together in CE. Not certain if it'll work for more than just me, but I've seemed to have been able to prevent my shields and hull from being damaged without preventing damage to enemies. I've also made it so that my energy doesn't deplete, scanning probe count doesn't decrease, rockets don't decrease, no boost cooldown, infinite boost (but that's not something you'd want to keep turned on...), unlimited fuel, and no warp cooldown.
I suspect that an official trainer for the game will be rather promising just based on what I've been able to do over the last couple days of tinkering. 😀
