as everyone's pointed out infinite health also applies to some enemies, unfortunately means i can't use it against that badass with the katana at the beginning, there's probably going to be additional scenarios like that as well.

I just kicked him off the cliff. When you rest and come back the items he was carrying will be at the top of the stairs.

Just a quick note - using easy kills while resting near bonfire causes multilocation-wide wipe of everything that was not dead at the time, including NPCs, Bosses, mooks, phantoms and even invaders. Can't say I did not enjoy a three location wide death wave, but still it made some NPC interactions unattainable.
Riiight, that's why I got thousands of souls every time I activated a bonfire and a completely empty firelink shrine. Gonna start over with a new save.
