its probably something i am doing but after using the research cheat and colonising a bunch of worlds suddenly i get attacked and some colonies randomly wiped out by a really powerful alien faction, has anyone else seen this ?

Might have something to do with the External Threat option during the campaign creation part. External threat is designed to spawn a strong enemy when you are close to game completion. Boosting research may trigger that event. I'm guessing of course.

Any chance of adding "insta-build" or "fast build" to boost construction of buildings, ships, etc.?

When using the trainer to do fast research, it always wins the game in virtually no time at all. Your "Progress in Science" always goes to 100% with the trainer on. Even if I switch the fast research off on the trainer, I end up winning in a few seconds as my science progress still stays at 100%.
I realise the version of the trainer is currently outdated, but it was doing this already when the version was correct, and the trainer appears to work for the other cheats still.

Any words of advice on having fast research without it winning the game? Even if I try fast researching just for a few seconds, it still ends up winning the game.

you have to de select one of the game win options before you start the game.

Thanks for the update to 1.06d, but I am having an issue with the new trainer. When I select option 1 it turns off options 2 thru 6 and when I select options 2 thru 6 it turns off option 1. I have tried all possible combinations but option 1 will not work with any of the other supply options. Thank you for your great trainers.

Delete C:\Users\usernamehere\AppData\Local\Temp and C:\Users\usernamehere\Cheathappens\Work to be sure any older traces of previous trainer are gone, reboot PC so it clears anything left over in the memory and try again running trainer as admin.
