I have both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift since saving up for them. Had both Day 1.
Truthfully? If you're looking for interactive gaming..the market is weak. Skip it unless you're into cartoonish games.
Otherwise their real value is for home entertainment/movie-viewing experiences.
Not to mention the GPU costs of the upgrade is serious for a lot of people.
Thanks a million... this is really the info I was looking for, and where my biggest concerns lie. I'm fortunate enough that my existing config will not need to be upgraded on my PC to enjoy Oculus Rift or Vive, but I really only want it for interactive gaming.
This settles my decision on whether or not to hold off even further. Hopefully, the PS4 version will be more game oriented... but even though it is specifically for a gaming console I'm not holding my breath at this point. I'll probably be holding off for at least another year.
