The latest version of the trainer now works with the current game patch, without crashing the game(for me at least) however it DOES NOT save new Soldier Stats.
While in the Tactical Screen, the "Capture Soldier" function works, and the functions appear to work, but it doesn't save the HP and Armor values after 1 turn, and the Soldiers reset to vanilla once the mission completes and you view them in the Barracks.
TL;DR The current Trainer is NOT functioning properly. 🙁
Back to manually typing in eStat variables for the time being I guess.
That's strange because I was able to play three missions last night and rank up my soldiers with the trainer working. I started a new game, Iron man turned off, used the trainer on the very first mission and everything worked fine.
The game did crash when I swapped out a new rookie for one of the four soldiers that I had boosted at the beginning and tried to boost his stats in the mission. I am going to try again sometime today when I get a chance and see if I can recreate the crash and testing if moving immediately after boosting stats solves the problem. I usually tab to another soldier after boosting stats and that is when it crashes for me.
The game crashes still with the updated trainer, after boosting a soldier - the crash occours if I want to save (or the game is saving, which happening when changing to geoscape) whatever at tactical or at mission.
I have found that if I boost a soldier and then immediately move them after boosting before tabbing or switching to another character that the game does not crash. So far this is working for me. I am having an issue with corrupted saves and the game not loading them, but I think that is a game mod issue.
