I was wondering if it's possible to modify from normal to hardmode with the save editor and if so. How to do it.

Not sure what is going on. Trying to run the savegame editor. Download it, and when I try to run it, I get the error message "This user has been banned." I can run the trainer, but not the savegame editor. Just wondering what I am doing wrong.

Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Plug your PC directly into the internet, bypassing all network routers and firewalls. If you have been using VPN software such as Spotflux, a complete windows reinstall might be necessary as some of these products mess up Windows firewall registry settings which cause the trainers to be blocked.

PWizard, I did the antivirus shutdown prior to posting and the run as administrator, as I try to follow rules before showing my idiocy. I cannot do the plug directly into the internet based on where the pc is and where the router/main internet location is in my house (being as there is about 100 feet separation between the 2). and I do not have a vpn connection. So guess I will just use the trainer since I cannot get the editor to work.

This might have been figured out already, but how do you correctly add items with the editor, there are items I would like to add, but I don't want to screw up my save file. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Edit: Ok then. Seem like it doesn't want to let me include a quote. Anyway.

First off, to prevent screwing your save file, you should always make a backup of the save file itself.

Onto the actual editing.

I personally have not managed to instantly and easily give myself an item out of nothing, but I do know how to convert one item into another. For this example, we'll use Greenwarish as the starter item, and we'll convert it to.... The Maker's Finger arrow.

First thing you need is the item ID for Greenwarish, which is 43. You can find the ID for any item using the "Item List" tab in the save editor. Just type the item name in the Filter text box and you'll get a list of all items with the search term in it.

Now, in order to turn that Greenwarish into the Maker's Finger, you need to change a couple things in the save file.

Clicking back on the "Savegame file (Raw)" tab, in the search at the top, you'll want to look for the following: "data.mItemNo" value="43". That is the section of the save that tells the game that "This item is Greenwarish".

To change it to the Maker's Finger, you would just change the number in quotes beside value to 140.

Save the file, load the game, and your Greenwarish will have been converted to the Maker's Finger.


To increase the quantity, you want to edit the line of code above that. So, you'll want to change: "data.mNum" value="1" to, for example, "Data.mNum" value ="99" , and you'll have a stack of 99 of whatever item has it's ID number given for that section.

Remember your weight limit!
