hey guys i am also having this issue where the trainer simply won't recognize the game. First time its ever happened to me! I have the legit version on steam, i re-downloaded it twice, run as administrator and did the alt-tab as well. Any help on this would greatly appreciate gentlemen.
What OS n A/V are you using?
When I noticed the type of trainer I automatically knew from past games with this same type of trainer it wouldn't work properly or wouldn't do what I like.
I miss the old trainers in which I push the button and gain the experience and gain a level. With this one I gain a level but none of the experience nor level up perks. In the end the only use I might have for this trainer is unlimited gold.
Just to give feedback on these type of trainers they sort of take the fun out of the trainer. I don't know if what I am doing is really giving me a level or rather what just change the level type. For example if I press the level up button and I get to level, "5" the only thing it shows me is I am at level five with none of the bonuses of being at that level.
Sorry I am autistic much of what I try to explain does not make sense
Yes the trainer ADD LEVEL option just adds a number which isn't very useful.
I went to the tavern in Gran Soren and changed my vocation to a warrior type as it gives best health returns on levelling up. Then I changed the trainer so it added 1,000,000 xp per press. I added lots of XP which increased their level to about 190 as per the instructions and my characters health raised up to 4k. I then edited the save game so they were level 1 and rinse/repeated the levelling in game again by adding more and more xp. They now have 8k health.
The level looks like this in the editor:
class name="mParam" type="cSAVE_DATA_PARAM">
u8 name="mLevel" value="197"/>
I kept the value under 200 just in case it does something different because 200 = infinity in game.
A message comes up every time they level up but you can just go in and out of the status screens to see the new values and you can switch between characters as you add more xp to see the new values.

Make sure the trainer window has focus in windows (i.e. is the top active window) and press F1 on the main menu not the front screen that says press any key.

Looks like the Party Health effects bandits. Just spent ten mines going why you no die. Other than that not found any other issues on my end.
Also confirming this. Tried toggling it off and on again, but it made my party start attacking the dead bodies after that, bahaha. Guess I'll just stick to own health when fighting those guys.
The trainer works great. Thank you. one thing though. i cant get the item multiplier to work. i do as it says but the number of items stays the same. thank you
Easier to use the editor, just find the ID and change the quantity.
I also added different items:
- buy some cheap item like a flask from a vendor,
- search for the item name in the item list (2nd tab in the editor) to find the ID,
- search for the ID in my save game and change it to the ID for Gold Idol,
- change the quantity in the line above,
= hey presto I've got 99 gold idols (bit overweight though).
If you're happy with the format of the save file you can just copy and paste the whole section for an item and change the ID number... it's not rocket science, just make a backup of the save file before messing with it.
