LOL... some people.
I guess Steam also looks like a bootleg selling key site then?
Obviously. They even sell keys. 🤐
There is a reason why most books, magazines, epaper etc. are printed/ set up in dark (black) characters on a light (white) background. - It's not to make it look cool or because Johannes Gutenberg had only black ink when he invented book printing.
My eyes are bleeding with this contrast and small + thin font. - Yes, I already enhanced the ratio on my browser.
This is cool but not healthy. - Ask Amazon why their Kindle has no black background.
Plus: Still no HTTPS for at least the log-in as cheathappens.com became an investment for some people.

I always thought the reason books are they way they are because it would be silly to print the whole page black and just leave the paper showing where the text is.
I would really like the option to revert from black to white backgrounds. I know you have worked hard on the updates. But this be the only site am majorly active on anymore and the set up now with the the white on black/grey. Is really making hard for me to read. I particuarly do not want to have to take pain killers just to read the boards on the site. Can you please look into doing some option.
Regards
Chris.

Yeh, SSL is something we might look into once the dust settles. As it is, all of our payments are handled through third parties which are SSL. But we could stand to have it on our login pages.

We are currently looking into the possibility of choosing a light or dark theme. The new version was designed to be more flexible with the graphics and coding so it might not be that difficult to implement. However, we have a pretty good size list of stuff to fix and work on that didn't quite make the launch. It's on our list though.

The color choice actually passes WCAG 2.0 standards and is compliant with Section 508 standards. You can read about the standard compliance here: Link
Also the Amazon Kindle app can change the scheme to black background and white text actually. It's boss on my tablet since it uses a Super AMOLED display and reduces battery usage. Amazon does not do it on their Kindle devices because it's a limitation of e-ink technology (not because they think its bad).
