The GOG version is 1.4.
This trainer is for 1.1.
This trainer DOES NOT work for GOG.

I'm sure if you provide them a copy of the GOG version they'd be more inclined to do so then just demanding they do it.

Forgive my ignorance on how to get a trainer updated....

I actually have no idea. I was honestly making a baseless assumption. Would have to contact Pwiz or the other staff or wait for a reply.

You'll have to ask 0x90 as he's the one that would have to port the trainer and it has very few downloads.
