One little known fact about turrets. The farther you are from vault 101 the machine gun turrets will start to random spawn an upgrade. When your placing them from mk 1 to mk 7. Just turn it left or right so you can see the label on side of turret if its a mk 1 than just tab out and hit e again to spawn another till you get the upgrade you want. Each upgrade is an increase in health and damage. Example a mk 1 has 40 health where as a mk 7 has 300. You can only spawn mk1 in Santuary. But in Finch farm you can spawn up to mk 7 just as a guide line.
