Fallout 4 Message Board  

I'm getting the DVD version because I want to have a reason to use a DVD drive in my pc & just to have the game stored LOCALLY, for backup purposes, sure steam lets you make backups, but I wanted to save my self the hassle... Besides, My Godfather has a really sweet Intel PC he custom installed all the parts, it is much faster than my AMD 6350, and I just wanted to see Fallout 4 on a beefier rig...

I honestly can't wait to get this game...

I could have gone with a digital copy, my ISP speed is fast enough, 100 MBPS, it would download the game and any day one patches in minutes... I hope that Bethesda puts in an actual game manual... That would save some Laser toner..

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you still need to connect online and download. Even if not on steam.

Yes the game will need steam to download, install and play. Not matter which version you go for.

But to answer the other side of that question asked. My version will be The Fallout 4 Amazon Bundle (PC DVD) which has Exclusive Artbook & Soundtrack Bundle.

Oh and if I remember right when I was on break yesterday. The disks dont have everything on them. Which will require downloading of the rest of the information. It was done like that to supposidly stop Pirating of the game. Weather that will be success is another thing.

I wouldnt even buy FO or TES on consoles.

Why? Cause no way I am jail breaking/chipping my system to have console trainers/code/cheats for my games on them. Closest stuff I use for consoles is save editors that can be good and can be a pain to cause not all them will work with non jail breaked/chipped consoles.

Technically every version activates on Steam, but I guess I am considered a "DVD" purchase because I wanted the Pip-Boy Edition.

Did you receive the Pip Boy addition yet and if so how is it?

but if u buy it on console, u cant cheat it, cuz theres no trainers and u wouldnt be in here posting it about it
