This is why the game was retired back in March.

Wish i would have read this sooner. Wanted to finish the single player so i decided to use the trainer to speed things up a but a couple of days ago and just got the ban notice today. Good thing i didn't get a season pass for it. SMH oh well

I would not use a trainer on any game developed by Treyarch unless I made a duplicate copy of the game on another drive and block inbound and outbound internet in firewall.

Treyarch are ban happy and also like to bully banned users. When I got permabanned from BO2 for using the trainer in the Singleplayer Campaign (not even on Zombies) I Treyarch stated to me.

"Using 3rd party programs to bypass protection protocols in all of our games even in a singleplayer only setting is a bannable offence. We will be monitoring yor account periodically and if you use a trainer/CoSMOS again you will be reported to Valve for breaching the Steam Subscriber Aggrement and we will request the harshest possible penalty (total forfeiture of your Steam Account in full)".

Boy talk about taking things too far Treyarch!

Apparently even if the network is switched off by the user and Steam is offline they have software built in their games that gathers data on if a trainer is used and the moment the internet resumes that date is sent to their servers and forwarded to Treyarch's "Ban and Bully Department"

So be carefull. with that kind of hard-ball approach, I would also be concerned if in the future Treyarch took some sort of action against CH and other trainer devs for making the trainers. (lets hope that never happens)

Man, I just came to download the latest trainer. I obviously didn't realize they had retired it. I KNEW my account would probably be banned but I didn't care. I do NOT play ANY PC games online. I ONLY play this game in the "offline" mode or whatever they call it. I STILL KNEW my account would probably get banned because of the way this company makes their games and I don't blame them at all for banning people if they detect any type of cheating(even for single player only like myself).
What I don't understand is WHY in the world would someone download a CHEAT TRAINER for a game that has so much multiplayer built into it. I don't understand why anyone would even take the chance IF they are interested in playing online. It makes no sense to me.
Anyway, we will never get an updated trainer for this game now after people whining about their own mistake. Cheat happens has ALWAYS WARNED every single member about the dangers of even trying a trainer IF you are going to play a game online. I don't understand how people can turn around and complain when they get banned, especially in a game like this where so much of the game is dedicated to the multiplayer aspect. Again, WHY would you ever download a cheat trainer IF you have ANY interest in the multiplayer? I seriously don't understand it.
Please excuse my complaining. It just stinks that us single player offline players can't even use the trainers anymore because of people who used a cheat device in a game that they wanted to play ONLINE.
And it DOES TICK ME OFF that anyone has the nerve to whine to the Cheat Happens crew because they didn't literally call you on the telephone and warn you NOT to use a cheat trainer in a freaking game that you wanted to play ONLINE. They do so, so, so much stuff to make sure every single person who ever visits this website KNOWS IMMEDIATELY what will happen if they try to cheat in a game, even just the single player mode, IF it is a game that the person will then try to play ONLINE.
I guess the reason I am upset about this whole situation is because if irresponsible people keep doing this and ruining their own game because they can't follow Cheat Happens guide lines, we will all end up suffering because Cheat Happens may decide to forgo making ANY trainers for games that have ANY multiplayer aspects to them. These days, even the very rare single player focused game, has some type of cheap multiplayer added to it. That situation would stink but I would not blame them one bit if they made such a huge decision. /rant from me, an old fart.
