I am trying to enter her cave on the beach and when I use spell to reveal entrance, a guy sunbathing wakes up and eventually enters battle with me. How do I enter Evelyn's cave? Thoughts/help appreciated

usaly on original game you use the spell in front of the cave, then you just enter it as you wud any other caves, but i seen alot of changes in the EE verson, like the headless ghost quest is not were it was anymore

During battle, he keeps disappearing on me... Is this normal?

yes, use an area effect skill/spell and he will aper again

Where can I get Area Effect Skill/Spells?

first encounter / interview --> Leave him alone
after using magic to cave --> is needed thrice play a minigame... and win

Wait... what? I am supposed to play a minigame with sunbathing guy near cave? I am not supposed to fight him?
