I am having an issue using the Pillars of Eternity editor with windows 10. It is attempting to start it as a .tmp file and requested what app to use. Then it seemingly decided to try to open it with IE. and it has never done so succesfully...
I have no idea what to do.
Thank you. Kitedtk

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer.

if it tries to "run" the .tmp file you need to run the editor as a admin. also make sure you add the trainer&editor and the following files ~Mnn133.tmp, CH.dll, and CH2.dll to exclusions in any antivirus you might run. THAT should fix it.
Since there are people who give me crap for my grammar and is to lazy to check my profile I will say it here as well. I am dyslexic so give me a break as I *TRY* to spell correctly.

This sounds like good info. Just where are these files located?

Have to say this is really frustrating - Craft the world trainer was working for me but now its not I get the TMP issue asking what software i should use. Is this going to be the same for all newer trainers ?
And before someone says turn off AV and FW I have but this is not working. I have only got windows defender and i have added the files as mentioned and this did nothing, I have turned it off and I have tried turning off windows fire wall as well.
What I dont get is that it was working and now its not.Its strange and frustrating.

Disabling AV, Firewall, Defender does not help. The trainers that use the progress bar (ie trainers made by 0x90) do not work on Windows 10. Have disabled virtually everything that might cause an issue with the same result. The trainer just loads and crashes everytime.

I am on Windows 10 along with hundreds of thousands of our other members and the trainers work just fine.
