I have been playing these titles for a long time. Most of any of Koei's ______ Warriors games has fallen under my gaming fingers. Are they a bit grindy? Yes. A tad repetetive? Oh yes.
Fun? OH YES.
Now the forums on steam and other communities are drowning in various Ps3-graphics-why-not-ps4-graphics, 30-fps-vs-60-fps, price and whatever more they can think of discussions.....
I'm just here hoping it will be stable. DW8XLCE wasn't enough. Nor was OPPW. I want more!
So here I am.
So what do you guys think? Hype? Couldn't care less?

We're on the same boat, I've always liked Dynasty Warriors since the PS2 and can't wait to play Koei's newest games.

Agreed, and I hope that they will keep improving their games! I've seen the titles they've released for PC lately, and I must say I can see the improvements. They're small, but they're there. I honestly hope this is due to them trying to understand the PC market, and soon we can see their games not being simple ports, but actually PC developed games!
Hey, sounds crazy I know. But a person can dream.

We're almost there in requests :P need 750 more now.
I played SW4 a bit on ps3 and liked how they changed the gameplay. It's got a lot more contrast to the DW series now.
On the ps3 you could edit the gems and that got you great weapons. The weapon system has changed on this one (again). So I'm hoping for a nice weapon option on the trainer if the weapon system isn't overly complex. Wish they could just stick to Orochi style weapon system.
Hopefully I'll have the courage to do Honnoji this time. Anyone else get to Honnoji and just do not want to play it b/c you know how it ends? I was like that in last two games :P

Request is done So we can look forward to the awesome trainer!
Well, the game looked way more fluid from the vids, so I guess it is a positive gameplay change.
I like playing Honnoji, but I prefer the "what if" scenarios. Where you can change the course of history. DW8XL did that in a very nice way! You could play the normal story, and if you were skilled enough to get all the stars you could alter history mid-campaign, and get a cool second ending.
Lu Bu's alternate ending is AWESOME! So I hope we will get similar alternative endings in this one, with like Tadakatsu or possibly Fuuma. But it might be too much to ask as I think the normal SW4 did not have hypothetical?

ya the original SW4 had a kinda group thing. You'd start out each major storyline as two people, then gather one or two more as the stages progress. Which ones you pick as your duo is up to you. It was a different way of doing it, but it felt like it was missing a lot possible scenarios. If it could have been fleshed out to include lesser plotlines, it would have added a lot more to it I think.
I spent a lot of time with my CAW actually tho, doing free mode and getting all the weapons :P

I know that chronicles is switched out for Infinite Castle in SW4-II, but I hope we still get to make our own characters. There is a possibility the Empires version of this might not come to PC, and if that's the case i want my created char
I don't know how much time I spent on DW5 Empires back in the day...... those where awesome times.
So what are we looking forward to the most? In my case it's going to be Fuuma and the new gameplay we talked about.

I haven't played SW since SW2 on the PS2, so I'm really looking forward to this one. Empires would be an awesome addition, loved it on PS2.
Since I have no idea what's been changed and added in SW4, I'm just looking forward to playing the game.
