So, im not sure how many else migth have run into this little thing, but if you forget number 8 on the trainer on for whatever reason and pick up a research item you get 99 of that too, and one more and the game will crash everytime yo utry to turn it in. now, i didnt notoce this for some time so my inventory was somewhat.. well.. bad .
They seem to have made the research items undeletable and unsellable aswell in some patch along the way, so now im at a standstill of sorts, unable to turn in stuff. while its not gamebreaking or so it is a nuisance. anyone have any tips for how to either just clear the inventory or edit it somehow? id go back to an earlier save if it wasnt 10 hours back haha.

I can't get mine to crash, I had two sets of Deepstalker claws each at 99, I managed to turn them in just fine without crashing. The only thing I can think of is to turn off the trainer and turn it in.
Also, can you put it in storage in Skyhold. I've never tried it, but it's an idea. Just get rid of the bad research items.

try closeing the trainer an reenter the game then turn in after that u should be fine just do this before u try to turn research items in thats the way it works for me

nah.. tried about 50 times in different variations. i cant move them or destroy them as far as i can tell, whe nthis char gets to skyhold ill see if i can use the storage chest. hopefully. i say it crashed due to excess only because i read others having that issue. it certainly could just be my game hating me lol.

I'm having this exact problem. somehow I have like 5 stacks of 99 red templar pauldrons and the game crashes to desktop whenever I click on the reasearch table in skyhold. I'm googling all over but I don't see any way to control the inventory to fix it.
edit: I should mention this is with the dlc installed

Disable the option before you sell the research materials to prevent a crash.

havnt used the trainer for days and it still crashes . also cant sell research items anymore. unless thats a bug only i have

Verbid, it crashes like this without the trainer even running
