Anyone else used god mode to venture off into the Big Nothing? I was going at it for a while, heading straight west from Reek Hills.
I was heading into that nasty storm that acts as a border for nigh on half a kilosecond when I broke through. The terrain is relatively flat from that point forward, and the storm completely disappears.
The annoying "YOU ARE ENTERING THE BIG NOTHING" continues flashing, though.
I'm gonna see how far I can go before the map cuts off. Cheers.
Edit: Found the edge. By 'found' I mean 'went flying off of while not paying attention'. Link The terrain out here looks like sand from a distance but then changes to the hard-driving mountain surface when you get close. It's a pain. Link

Hey, AQT. Thanks for the pictures. How did you get the original interceptor body with the two rear fuel tanks? I'm not that far into the game, is it available later on?
Thanks!

You get it after completing the game.

I've seen people post about there being a convoy somewhere out there. I went off that edge yesterday and fell through the map.

Early last week I drove south from chums area until I reached the in-game map boundary then headed east until reaching the max in-game map boundary at the SE corner and worked backwards.
The storm that drains your blood like water appears to simply exist because there's a lot less "nothing" out there than reports were saying.
All kinds of posts including people saying "the devs want people to venture out there to find stuff" seems mostly bunk at this point.
From what I've seen it appears more accurate to say the devs probably had plans to make some interesting stuff out there but were forced to go to press once the base game was "good enough".
It's a massive depressing letdown. This engine and environment would make for an INCREDIBLE open world experience if the community could modify it. There's so damn much space out there for so many new and interesting additions if we only had the ability to mod this sucker.
Side note - out in the far east mountain-ish area there's an error in the terrain mapping, basically several tiles are missing producing a hole. Had a few minutes of fun calling chum to me standing on the other side of it watching him drive off into it trying to reach me.
Other than that, a few broken bus and bridge parts out there there's not much else. I've left the game as-is at this point.
Didn't bother doing the final mission because convoys and several other things never come back, and there's just nothing compelling left to do at this point.
What a damn shame too. Soooo much potential. I'd spend a week doing nothing but creating content for this thing if we had access to do so. Oh well.
