One of my favorite mods in Fallout 3 and Fallout NV was the settlers mods, which lets you build a village practically anywhere.

So, I was pretty excited about the ability to build villages in Fallout 4, even if they're only in predetermined locations. Do you all think that they might add in the ability to build vaults or underground complexes for our villages?

And how many of you are gonna build villages? Since we can build more than one and set up caravans between them, I'm gonna definitely be building in each location I can.

    Very interesting feature.

Eh, if it's basic enough for me I might just build a simple village. Unfortunately, I feel like I might get bored scavenging for the parts to build so hopefully there's a console command or the help of CHteam for that...

    Very cool to have though.

while it looks interesting, im also glad that it has been confirmed that you can completly skip it if you want to with no penalty

i am of course going to try it out, but i have a feeling i won't be spending much time with it, this is fallout after all, and not the sims 4.5

and on another topic, im still extra ultra salty that pip-boy will never be mine

I will probably make a village, but hopefully I can make mine only and nobody else can live in it, I wanna make a huge fortified base that runs on automatic. One of my favorite times in fallout 3, was finding an abandoned motel and going into it, I always liked motels in games because they look so real

You can put up things like turrets and such, but they run on power IIRC. I plan on cheating to get the items I need for my towns, even if I gotta use console commands. xD

Just read the PC Gamer Article on it and it appears you have to build, power, feed, and Defend your settlement. So you need to plant food also. It sounds very fun and hoping we have a trainer that will let us keep from losing everything.. Wonder if we can Populate it like Fallout Shelter?

BTW Thank you guys for the wonderful trains over the years.

The video of them playing the game at .. e3 or another convention did show a settlement that had TURRETS! Man, I'mma have turrets and robots and probably mines too.

Makes me wonder though, how citizens will know to avoid the mines.

Was thinking will build or love to build a Nuclear proof Fortress Bunker type building, surrounded by thousands of nuclear landmines, defended with nuclear missiles and vaporizing enemies if they get near the fortress..
