Sorry but I didn't know where else to post my question and this is one of the trainers I use so... I've read today that Win 10 can & will stop mods & trainers from working.

As you can guess I've got the win 10 download app sitting staring at me, but I'm afraid to install it due to folks saying it stops trainers/mods.

Could anyone plz tell me if this is true? Does it really stop all my trainers from working?
If so it can go take a running jump & I'll stay on my win 7.

    Thanks,
    Mal.

I have had only a couple of problems since upgrading to Windows 10 Pro and those were only compatibility issues. All of my trainers work just like they did in Windows 7. That being said, there are a couple things I don't like about Windows 10. First, it's kind of ugly. The windows are squared and look flat, like in Windows 8 on a tablet. That's no big deal really though, just an aesthetic issue that I'm sure I'll be okay with the longer I use it. The second is the automatic updates. I don't have the control over those like I did in Win 7. It could be just a setting I haven't figured out yet, but the more I use it the more I like it.

I had the same problem (Not able to activate the trainer), which was one of the major reasons I rolled back to Win7. Gotta have my CH . I just assumed it was a Win10 thing and rolled back, without giving it much thought.

I'm sorry I won't be of much help in the trouble shooting of this issue, but I plan to upgrade again once the first service pack is released.

*Edit: I think the trainer was Fallout: New Vegas and maybe Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Zombi, I couldn't get working (F1 not activating the trainer). Which led me to assume trainers didn't work on Win10, so I just rolled back.

As always, thanks to Cal, Pwiz, 9x0, and all the staff at CH. You guys let me game, how I want to game. Thanks for that

Are you running any boosting software like Gameboost, GameGain etc

....long shot I know but I thought I would mention it

If you have any issues maybe try running the trainer in compatibility mode and admin mode.

I'm running Windows 10 as an in-place upgrade after a forced image download, bypassing the staggered roll-out update mechanism. I upgraded from 8.1 Home 64-bit.

Haven't had any problems whatsoever. Didn't disable the game bar (though I never use it). Even had an AMD overlay at one point that also offered recording. It didn't interfere either.

I have no security software other than Windows Defender. That might make a difference. The trainer has the mechanism to prompt for a UAC elevation, so of course it runs with an admin token.

The most trouble I've had is with my Creative sound card--but that's not relevant to trainers.
