this is the same people who did the wargame series games? oh christ... those games WERE NEVER FINISHED...
I think most games are finished, but most games like let's say Starcraft, do have a lot of balance patches. To make games enjoyable competitively, not just for the casual inf resource expert compstompers. But I can see it makes your job a little frustrating with games coming out as v1.0 then in two months suddenly v1.77.54 etc
I also see this with Crusader Kings, as there is a lot of things to tweak and change. Considering the devs listen to the more experienced CKIIers etc on what needs fixing, everytime Paradox ship a DLC with new things, they also ship a decent patch to everyone who doesn't own that specific DLC. Simulation games like CKII are supposed to have a great replay value, therefore there are a lot of changes. Understandably frustrating for you.
But you guys always deliver, and I cannot thank you enough!
Brood War has received it's final balance patch and is considered complete. StarCraft 2 is receiving new units as part of Legacy of the Void and balance adjustments are to be expected as the result of close collaboration with the professional circuit such as KeSPA. Because of these high level players, balance configuration is extremely controlled. There are extremely few games that have this kind of group to aid with balancing.

There is a solution to that problem too: Release a trainer for game that has so many patches, every other week or few weeks interval. That will take off the pressure from you. I can wait. I say, "Give us trainer as later as possible, but DO give us trainer for the ones that are active." I can wait...
