First the version of Mass Effect 2 that I am running through Origin is the Origin Version of the game that was purchased as a stand along game and not part of the Mass Effect Trilogy.
The first thing I did was I ran a repair on the game. Then I went into the Binaries folder and deleted the files MassEffect2.EXE and MassEffect2.Par After that I renamed The files ME2.EXE and ME2.par as MassEffect2.EXE and MassEffect2.Par. The I ran the renamed file MassEffect.EXE as Administrator. After that I was able to run the Game through Origin without any problems. I am using the Steam/D2D Version 1.02 with the Origin version of Mass Effect 2.

This didn't work for me, so i switched the name of the files around and kept all the files in the folder, which seemed to fix the issue and get the trainer working. I wasn't running it as administrator either.
Okay, so I was having the exact issue as several others with the files not includung ME2.EXE or ME2.PAR, but instead of those, having ME2Game.EXE and ME2Game.Par. I tried the initial fix of deleting the MassEffect2.EXE/PAR and renaming ME2Game.EXE/Par to replace those. No-go. Error missing DLL. BUT, I did get it to work by renaming MassEffect2.EXE/PAR to ME2.EXE/PAR and renaming ME2Game.EXE/PAR as MassEffect2.EXE/PAR and voila, no more errors. Ran straight from the MassEffect2.EXE icon and was able to login to Cerberus Network and all. Checking now to see if trainer is working. Will add back shortly.
Tested the main options, health, ammo, hack, space fuel, all working.
Happy gaming!
