Assassin´s Creed: Unity Message Board  

I reached a point where i was "following leon" (the following leon quest in the dead kings expansion" and the lantern key (R) ceased to work. I could not load my lamp. I could not use my lamp. Rebooting the system did not work. Even after reboot the R key would not bring up the lantern or refill the lantern. I also tried the E key to refill the lantern which also did not work.

Now I am stuck and cannot progress further without re-loading a prior save since this expansion is NOT functioning. There is no way around following leon. I tried to go back out the front exit and I de-syched and reloaded right back at the point where the bats block further passage in the underground maze.

This game from the start was a giant mess. I eventually hit so many bugs that I did not end up finishing the game. I don't remember running into the bug you are mentioning, but there were a few other bugs in that area I ran into that prevented me from finishing it.

I managed to fix this one. Holding down the R key which activates the lantern eventually lifted the lantern off Arno's belt. I found you had to hold in the key until the lantern was deployed.
