I am a player of older games.
It is not that difficult to read the FAQ that comes with every trainer and once you read one, you've read them all. As stated above, the same steps can be taken by every person if they are having trainer troubles. Most are common sense, but even that seems to be in very short supply anymore.
As a customer, I completely agree with some sort of penalty system for those who repeatedly report trainer issues without doing any "work" on their end. How hard is it to reboot, shut off AV, and retry the trainer with adm privilege checked? Good grief, use the boards and ask some of us who actually know how to use a computer what to do
People need to just get a grip, use their head, and have consideration for not only other users but the trainer makers. I have on occasion played an older game that although the trainer status was "active", I could not get it to run. So gasp, I have searched Google for codes, or even bigger GASP, played through without cheats. Why? Because I refuse to bug someone about some 5 year old game that I want to play when millions want GTA5 to be updated.
Personally I think this site does too much to cater to customers. I know... I will get thumbed down for that but it's ok. If it were me, I would not make a single trainer for any unfinished game, i.e. Early Access. That in and of itself shows how much work is put into people's wants. To have to constantly download old games to find out they work fine... I would just stop. But I am not the one running a business to make money either. Just my two cents.
Sorry for the long ramble. All that was just to say, LOVE the site, LOVE the product, LOVE the service! Do what you have to do and know that you will always have a dedicated fan-base.
Yeah.... Change my opinion to a YES for any penalty system.
I guess we might need something to encourage them not to act like idiots so often. I mean most problems can be solved without the FAQ by reading the instructions and thinking with some gddmn logic.
I definitely agree that you need something against these false reports, you do enough damn work already and that is a huge waste of effort for something that shouldn't happen.
Whatever your decision, I'm on board.
