Regarding the Mega Trainer (Retail+Steam), Unlimited HP, Heal Body Damage, Unl....

Hi all,

With Fallout 4 on the horizon, I thought I'd finally delve into Fallout 3, so signed up for a premium account & downloaded the trainer to get me up to speed.

The problem I'm having is that the trainer crashes no matter what I do?! I've tried compatibility modes, administrator modes & even disabling IE11, still no joy.

If anyone could help me get this going, it would be appreciated.

Currently running Win 8.1 Pro with MC x64

The best way to find out what happened is to have a peek into "Event Viewer"

....And try to find what the code is supposed to mean in Google... Microsoft and Windows, cuz I don't have a clue

If it's one of those, there's a long post by PWiz that may be of help. Did you say you already rolled IE back to IE9?

Pretty much been trying everything I can all day, to no avail. I can find the file in question, but it's still showing as a IE11 version, amd there is no physical way to roll back to IE9 on Windows 8.1 that I can see?

Followed the guide you shared, which I really appreciate, to a T. But urlmon.dll won't budge or change.

I contemplated replacing the file with an IE9 version, but I'm not sure if that will cause major issues?

Hmm, well, maybe PWiz and the lads have other suggestions, I'm not for sure.

You do know there's a whole host of console commands available for FO3? I remember when I played I was remotely moving companions back and forth between Megaton and the hotel and doing all sorts of other crazy things from God mode on down. I know it's not the same as a trainer but it might serve your purpose.

You can even make little batch files to run several commands at a time. Google is your friend for those.

I've found an alternative trainer, which works fine. Well, with a little tinkering, I managed to get it to work without crashing.

I'd rather use trainers from this site from now on, but if there is no way for me to get it to work, then I'll hold my hands up & use what I have 😵
