You can use the console commands for this game if the trainer does not work. Sadly there is no way to roll back to IE9 on win 8 or above. I would say its best to invest in a win7 comp to. I know it might be a bit crazy but I feel will be the best for the older games.

win 10 here. using steam version. was able to get the trainer to work with win 7 using the downgrade IE method. win 10 comes with IE11, and removing it just removes IE completely. whatever makes the win10 compatible trainers work must not be using IE to authenticate. since I have no IE anymore. have not found a way to remove microsoft edge, and admit to not trying to find out if I can install ie 9 on win10. just guessing beforehand that is out of the question. anyway. wish this game shown to be active for updating would be fixed to work with win10 steam version...and yes I have tried the gfwl version just to see if that worked...trainer does nothing, not even say "trainer cannot find game" it shows like it tries to activate, but then just shows the run game and press f1... message at the bottom.
