We probably should rather make our own game. That has one ground texture and one key for moving forward. First we start a kickstarter campaign with the target goal of $1.000.000 and access to the alpha starts at $200. Then when we are funded we start selling it on early access on Steam and claiming it will be 264 x the size of GTA 5 map, open world, survival. It will have zombies and mod support and a multiplayer. It's actually a MOBA but with a 60 hours long campaign. There will be 55 FREE dlcs and 30 addons. The best AI and graphics in the world. Next to the sandbox mode, oh and you can ride a horse too.
Sell it for 20€ or $20. Lean back and count the incoming money. And when people ask when we will finally add the feature that the character can not only go forward but also backward, we will ban him from Steam forum immediately.
Wait what? Everyone is doing this now? Pff, then I don't want anymore.

ROFLMAO...
I do get the OP's point. It really would be a great thought to be able to sell your own copies of the game. I am sure however that would not be feasible.
In a perfect world, it would be like this site I used to play on quite a bit that had games with cheats installed; arcade pre-hacks [url]www.arcadeprehacks.com/'>Link. While it was only flash games, it would be a cool premise for C/H. Get a copy of a game and sell it already "pre-hacked" with your cheats built in and without worry of dev's constantly hosing your work.
