activate trainer when in game, not launcher

make sure not being blocked by antivirus, antimalware, firewall, etc.

I was getting the same game not found. Sitting in Story mode right now, game not found. No AV, or other changes on my part, etc.. It worked fine Tuesday.

Odd thing was that I couldn't start GTAV tonight, Steam error. Exited steam, restarted, had a tiny update to Steam, then game started fine.

But,tested a few things before posting this. I hit F1 even though it said game not found, trainer activated, cheats work.

Yeah my trainer was working Monday afternoon but after that it never worked again. I don't have the steam version, I bought the retail disc version. I added the game to my antivirus (trend Micro) exception list, I've closed the program down.

I don't know why is not working no more. I've started trainer first then game or game first then trainer but no dice.

I don't wanna reinstall windows, This is a new computer and I'm running windows 8 but I don't that's it. I remember I was using the GTA Trainer that said Dead rising 3 on the title but it would work. I downloaded the new one after update and that one worked for a bit until it stopped.

Evening folks. I'm now getting the same message. Game not Found. I tried punching F1 in game and all i get now is "Trainer cannot find game". pretty strange considering it worked last night. I uninstalled my AV and deleted the trainer and re-downloaded it just for safe measure, but to no avail! this is weird, lol I even wiped the cache memory thinking it was full. nope. I run the STEAM version of the game so i wonder if this version is somehow different than the boxed one, but considering it worked last night im totally stumped! any ideas Cal?

This happened to me once too, but I just restarted the trainer while the game was running (and story mode loaded) on background.

I have used only my own saves (none of them is 100 %) so can't tell if that's the reason.

I'm also having problems with the trainer finding the game, I've done everything suggested in these posts with the exception of completely reinstalling Windows (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit).
I'm running the Steam version, & I've started the trainer before & after starting the game, I run it as administrator, it's not blocked by my AV, I've even tried using the commands even though it said "Cannot Find Game" with no success.

Has anyone found a solution?

go to the folder that you have saved your customized keys and delete them..

the trainer had updated new amount of options and your old custom keys file is mixing it up
