Quote from Rockstar. If you've been banned you've accidentally opened GTA:O even for a second or two. Be careful with your mouse clicks or better yet. Do not open the trainer until you are safely in singleplayer mode.

Here's the problem though, I close the game and the trainer and relaunch into GTAO, yet I was issued a 2 week ban. Also, rockstar replied when I questioned them and their answer was:

"Accounts can become flagged as a result of automated statistic triggers, or based on manual review of evidence, for violations such as modding/hacking, exploiting, abusing the in-game economy, or otherwise interfering with the designed game experience."

I don't use mods of any kind in SP or MP, and I make sure to restart the game before entering MP, yet this still happened.

Grammar and punctuation is the difference between; "I helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse." ...and... i helped my uncle jack off a horse.

And there you got it: 'Statistic trigger'. If you end up with 'unrealistic' statistics and values you are flagged, which maked total sense btw. I suppose you bought stock or used the old quick stats option.

First of all the EULA forbids all kind of modifying of the game. So you have been warned.

I doubt I would get banned from SP because I barely used it in there: only if I didn't manage to do story mode missions without dying or if I wanted to get a few GTA$'s because of a reason.

    But...

Yup the trainer, sadly, works Online.

I discovered this by accident when I couldn't aggro the cops after playing story mode.

No ban just yet but it might be too soon to tell because it may take some time before the Banhammer note it. Good thing I didn't play for hours while it was activated...

And to the people who love to report others; this is not my RSSC nick so don't bother.

Also, Annihilator sucks. Don't buy it.
    I like computers

It's also possible that while it may have appeared that the trainer closed the process was still open. You should make sure to check processes in task manager if you really want to be safe.

I used the trainer when gta v first appeared in pc in SP only. After they patched the game. I received the "You have been banned from online" message. It was when I used the unlimited ammo in SP. They will give you your first ban and it will last for 2 weeks. I haven't used this trainer since, just toughed it out and played it without any cheats.

I really want to know the haps on this.. I've read through this entire thread, trying to pick and pull, glue and piece a conclusion together but I'm really not sure what to take of it.

I'm currently downloading the game right now, was planning on using a CH Trainer on it eventually, once I decided I wanted to expand my gameplay.. but That'd really grind my gears to pretty much get auto-bahned from Online Gameplay if I restarted the game without a trainer or any manipulative programs running.

How are CH trainers even functioned? I never seen or suspected the trainer to edit/modify any game files (which GTA/R* is mad good at picking out).. AND your online character/account is completely separate from your SP account (So I remember)..

Not sure if I wanted to risk it after all.. Wish there were some set-in-stone answers on what's REALLY going on.. I like to cheat, get 110% out of a game.. but I also like my Vanilla Online Gameplay too. lol.

Really this is not that difficult.

IF you want to play online AFTER playing with a trainer offline, reboot your system to make certain that all traces of CH are removed from residual memory.

    Simple and effective.

I'm confused, from what I've read here it seems that the only way to use this trainer safely is to play it without internet connection.

But on the steam forums they say you can't even play it without an internet connection. The game requires a connection with the Rockstar servers in order to play.

I feel like I missed something here. What is, currently, the best way to use this trainer safely? (in singleplayer of course)
