I should mention that it is not the steam version, it's the rockstar social club launcher.
Did you activate the trainer when the game is running? Not in the Rockstar launcher?
Every time I have tried to Use the trainer after the 1.42 update, it just says "Could not install the file- Installation failed... I turned all the features of my Anti Virus off. My Mass Effect Trainer still works, But I can not get this trainer to work anymore.
As you use Bitdefender, please create scan exclusions for the trainer exe file (or the folder it's stored in) and the Work folder located here -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ and keep that Advanced Threat Defense module disabled only prior and while you use our trainers
BUT: What makes me think is the spelling in that error message:
Could not install the file - Installtion failed
Even though you use Windows 7 I'm certain that Microsoft had their localization of their OS properly done.
