The trainer is crashing the game every time upon initial load after activating it. Starting up the game and then hitting F1 also immediately crashes the game. Visual Studio's debugger comes up with a "unhandled win 32 exception" with different error codes each time. Have done everything we're supposed to do, and I've never had or am having this happen with any other trainer.

    SOLVED

Re-downloaded the trainer and it was 100kb larger. It works just fine now. Weird problem.

So there's a method to avoiding softbans, I've been doing extensive testing on it with multiple family shares.

    1. Do not dupe/multiply items that you only can get a limited am ount of in the game. If you can farm it though, you can dupe it. This means DO NOT DUPE things like fire seeds. This will trigger a softban.

    2. Do NOT use the trainer while you're online. I've been able to dupe offline then go online to play with friends - If I do it while online I end up softbanned within 48hrs.

    3. Do NOT use the lock hp/stam/durability etc if you don't want to get softbanned. Apparently they're flagging for it.

    4. Do NOT use the "add souls" option if you want to remain unbanned and play with friends. They're actively scanning for stuff like that. Instead, dupe soul items (NOT BOSS SOULS) and add them manually while offline.

Anything else and I'll post it.

TL;DR - Don't do anything but add to items you can farm IN OFFLINE MODE.

I also don't condone you using these methods to cheat against other players - this is simply to avoid legitimate characters from becoming softbanned through the entire account.

I also understand some people want to play with friends... good luck.

EDIT: Also, people wanted to know how I know I'm softbanned from certain accounts for sure.

You send an email asking with unquiry to [email protected] - They'll respond with something akin to

"We have looked into this issue further with the Dark Souls 2 server team for the profile you provided and it appears that you have had restrictions/limitations placed on your account for Dark Souls: Scholar of the First Sin, due to one of the following reasons at the time the violation was found:

    Using modified/hacked equipment.

Hacking, modifying, or exploiting the game (character, souls, Soul Memory, etc.) with external files/mods or trainers."

Also note you will be banned for using this COMPLETELY in offline mode if you use the wrong options.

So i have question about point 3 : I want use godmode/inf.stamina only on my character (steam online but game exe blocked in firewall until connection will be unavailable) so i want make whole playthrough to the end using this 2 cheats when game is blocked but steam online but sometimes I want play a while in onliny in this playthrough(without trainer of course)...Can i switch like that offline+Godmode/stamina then few hours normal online play without trainer with summonig someone without expecting any forms of bans??? They can somehow detect Godmode/stamina in offline when game .exe is completely blocked in firewall??? I down want add any items, souls itc. but only use this 2 trainer options to beat faster first playthrough without modifying anything(only like game allows normally) then on second playthrough with good equip playing normally without trainer (maybe sometimes help myself a little at hardest battles with bosses)... So about point 3 you mean dont use stamina/hp offline too(if not so what is a sense to making this trainer if you cant use any otions even offline)????

    Hello All,

    Good day!

Can anyone share their best practices to avoid getting banned when playing this game? I'm planning to buy this game and trainer this coming payday. This would be my second souls game as i've played Bloodborne before on my PS4. If i set my steam to Offline mode, is that enough already not to get caught using the trainer? Also, by going offline, will this prevent other people from invading me? I'm only interested on the story of the game and not really into pvp.

I hope someone can help me answer these queries. I apologize for my English and grammar as i came from a 3rd world country

    Thank you in advance.

Why is there no easy kills cheat? That was in the original DS2 trainer. Can it be worked in?

I still have same problem. Downloading again didn't work. Trainer immediately crashes after pressing F1. Doesn't say game not found or anything, just crashes. I've also tried both 1.02 and earlier trainer. Both have same problem. I'have sent report to 0x90.

So Microsoft sort of went ahead and broke this game (for cheating, anyway). Even with admin privileges the only way you can access the save file is %appdata%. What appears to be the folder in the C:\Users\Yourname folder is actually what MS calls a junction, and is access denied. To be honest, I think this may have broken more than a few trainers, as many use the ~mnn.tmp option which I believe requires access to the appdata folder.

Can you confirm that the game version is 1.02 and that you are running the 64-bit version of the game?
