Is it just me or indie games taking the pc game industry over. The big games are forgetting the pc gamers they only bring maybe a few games out a year now. Indie games are swamping the market which is good and bad. Good because there are some gems in the indie games, bad because alot of indie games are short games more for ios tablets and phones. Whats everyone thoughts on this.

Go along with the flow? Triple A games still come out on a regular basis, there is just a lot more to chose from. And there are so many indie games that have been absolutely amazing. There is still a lot of Hype regarding many AAA titles, and there aren't really less of those at all in my opinion. I think it's more our focus that's shifted. The short mobile games aren't necessarily a bad thing, they just cater to a completely different audience, I don't think it really affects the pc indie market in any strong way though. But it's gotten difficult to keep track of everything, especially because of things like early access. 🤔

Personally I cant stand indi games. I feel that when steam started the green lighter side it opened the gates to more and more people under the sun is making an indie game. Its nice to see.
But its still not going to have me jump on them. They arent AAA game and non indi games I love. That keep bringing me good story n fun.

I don't mind playing independent games. Some of them are pretty good, others not so much. Rather I wish that there weren't so many great games that were categorized as MMO's and Multiplayer only. Free to play games that are never free to play really annoy me. Or, free to play games that require you to pay with information rather than cold hard cash.
Independent, free to play, MMO, Multiplayer Only games that require payment of an E-mail address, a Password and must be online constantly, are the worst offenders for raising my blood pressure.

all of this is just the PC version of iphone apps... much of it is junk, some of them are gems. the availability of fast internet over most of the world allows digital distribution (kind of like apps), which the PC is no different.

I havent an issue with indi games, it's the mobile game market I despise. Zynga and similar companies that blew every real game company away with crap like farmville. Or whatever that new war game is with Kate Upton commercials on every other channel.
