Does the latest trainer work with the Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition?

It's not working

why not?

Probably due to there being 3 different trainers for 3 different platforms and the lack of choosing the right one.

Trainers don't work, Have the game on GOG and Steam and their corresponding trainers simply don't work, I've even tried all the other versions of the trainer.... no success. It doesn't work.

I bought the GOG - Game of the Century Edition, Saints Row IV, and couldn't get any trainer to work. I've even tried many other 3rd party trainers. No luck. On the last attempt with a different 3rd party trainer I noticed that it stated it was looking for "SaintsRowIV.exe" So I went to where the executable was located and found that the exe was named "Saints Row IV.exe". So made a backup of it, then named it to "SaintsRowIV.exe" It ran the game just fine running - But i haven't tried running it from the GOG game launcher yet, that may or may not work - but the 3rd party trainer still didn't work. So I fired up the Cheat Happens GOG SR4 GOTC trainer and it started working just fine.

I haven't tested this with the steam version but I bet its similar.

I purchased Saints Row IV: Game Of The Century Edition on GOG and downloaded "2. Saints Row IV Trainer (GOG GAME OF THE CENTURY)" (19599-Nimarus-Saints Row IV Trainer.exe). Pressing F1 gets a message saying "Trainer can not find game."
