So I've put up with Avast for around a year now, which as you may already know, blocks a lot of services like games such as Battlefield's Battlelog and Cheat Happens trainers.
What anti-viruses would you guys recommend that provides low performance impact and good security without being a nuisance?
I've recently been eyeing Bitdefender and Bullguard. Anyone know if they are any good?
Well I use AVG Free and have it set up to ignore anything that is game wise and trainer wise. I have used AVG for years now. But thats my opinion.
Bullguard hmm from what I remember from when I my dad used it because virgin years back informed him to use it. It seemed alright. But I cant say if there was much to fiddel with. From what I can remember.
Not used Bitdefender.

Everything except the EMET section (that has potential to screw up trainer functionality).
Who would be the best to protect itself? 🤔
"Microsoft's own Security Essentials is actually pretty decent"
If the maker of the OS cannot protect themselves from third party applications....where do we go? (still 🤔 )

In fact a combination of Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware that do NOT infringe on your liberty/accessibility/playability is a need for comfortable gaming
I'm using "Security Essential", it's free, and more reliable as any non-microsoft/windows program, Spybot and Scotty on Winpatrol "ready to pounce".
All free and doing their jobs
Used several programs as: AVG (free), NOD32, Avast (free and still on my XP HD), and others...
But, as a Cheat Happens proud member I would discourage anyone to install kapersky and the likes, they're awful to remove completely and the restrictions it impose is worse than childish
