Thats why the trainer notes tell you don't worry about showing wrong numbers. The game stores them a bit different. Just edit them and see the effect.
yeah, not sure if you tried it yourself or if your just commenting from just reading. the numbers edited do not reflect what happens. As Sirchet mentions, different numbers and stats can yield different results. For instance. Pie started at 205 (what the editor showed and not what i put in myself), when i changed Pie to 25 it showed 7. so i tried 225 and it lists 63 which i thought was great except when i got into battle on level 1 caves and the game wigged out and wouldn't let me have a turn. The monsters ended up killing my party.
Overall the other parts of the trainer i use more anyway so i can live with not editing all the stats.

Would this work in the GOG version?
I used it extensively with the GoG and Steam versions of the game, and encountered no issues with either, so it should work fine for you. Sorry for the (very) late reply. I was downloading the trainer again and just saw your post.
