So dumb question.
I've tried looking in the digital manual but that thing is a joke.
The inventory page has a "Core Stats" column and a "Defenses" column and these bars either deplete or fill depending on the item you mouse over. So what do they mean and how large are these values? Are they just dumbed down values for "Derp this item is better/worse?"
TIER 7

The bars at the bottom are based on your characters overall stats, and they fill up it means you're adding to that stat. The maximum defense against ranged/melee/magic is 80% so if you have all 3 at that the defense bar should be full. Am going to test this exactly now and will edit this post to tell you exactly. But what would be more interesting to know is if we have 20% ice resist and 80% magic resist are we immune to ice magic or is it multiplicative and not flat.
Ok it appears to be top left bar is Health, I don't know exactly how much hp is full bar but it will be probably a fully skilled out warrior with high level items amount of health. Bar under that is Main Weapon dmg + bonuses which is what skills are like 3x this dmg Bar under that is armor, I have a tier 3 light armor made with dragon webbing on and that doesn't fill it up completely.
Bars on the right are melee/ranged/magic defense from items, the bars are bugged and don't count resistances you gain from stats.
