It will be a while for a full trainer to be done, I have never completed this title, but it seems there will be other characters you can level up.
Found the player structure area of the game, which changes address as you would expect. But there is some old characters listed there, now I am not sure how the story goes or what happens near the end (and no spoilers of course), but if the game has gone to lengths to have entries for them then they most be playable at some point.
CP is easy to find anyway, its a DWORD (4 bytes) value to search for and it is not encrypted, you can find it and freeze it at 99999 if you want... but I don't think you even need the full 99999.
I am sure Cal may take a different approach and amend the coding to force the 99999 value in. Plus add options to freeze upgrade items etc.
thanks for the info... it doesn't help that the game has 1000 cutscenes that are unskippable and that it takes 50 hours to progress in this game...
best,
Cal
Unsure if you are using gamepad or keyboard but on the keyboard once you've finished the tutorial area or what to call it (Activated the portal and reached the "hub" ) you can press "0" to pause the game and also pause any cutscene and then you can press "1" to skip it.
(The number keys under the F system keys, not the number pad so it shouldn't conflict with any trainer features.)

EDIT: Oh and it seems the game has a few "QTE" sequences during boss battles and success or failure doesn't matter too much but can lead to some extra damage on either the boss or player characters though with unlimited health and the low enemy health option it's not an issue.
(No damage is done to the party and should you wish it enemies can be dispatched in one hit.)
Also you get pets you can use as party members but the increase item option helps out with upgrading these by feeding various parts, as long as you've found or bought at least one so it has something to increase.
Technically the game seems to upscale from 1280x720 so while the developers (finally) implemented a screen resolution option and a few other settings other utilities like say GeDoSaTo is needed to get the game to render properly without upscaling.
(Or just playing it windowed in "720P" with a bit of AA, less work but you're stuck with a smaller display window.)
Otherwise no issues with the game so far, trainer works great as well although it wouldn't surprise me if more complex game mechanics are unlocked later on.
(Also unlike XIII the "Chrysalis" upgrade system is fully enabled from the start so with that trainer option you can reach level 99 in everything and fully max out the character though better equipment will be needed even so since high stats alone won't suffice, heh some boss creatures have a lot of health or other abilities.)

An option to get 5 star in every battle would be sweet
Yeah its called press Number Pad Key 3.
Not the same at all :|
I want to be able to play out a battle normally but still get bonus rewards
Well you don't want the instant 5 star quickly, but you want to fight normally and still cheat a 5 star rating?
Both ways you will cheat to get it.
Max out your CP and upgrade yourself fully, it won't take you long to get 5 stars.
