I agree. After so many bad reviews now people are looking for their resolution patch for 13-1 and that has to hurt sales of 13-2.

Marketing wise, seems it would have been better to put a few more days between the rez patch and the release of 13-2. We'll see.

XIII-2 is actually getting a native 1920x1080 setting and other visual options that XIII missed out on. The backlash was powerful enough that the powers that be porting this series heard, for once and decided that they better not eff up the next one. I never played Lightning returns so we'll see how that one fares. Now I'm off to download this cheat and start a playin'!! See you after a long weekend!!!

Whoops! Spoke too soon...I'll have to wait until they've posted a more mature trainer. The options are a little slim atm which doesn't worry me...I've got a HUGE backlog of games to get through.

XIII has 1080p now also.

Windowed mode supports 720P and 1080P, fullscreen supports whatever resolution your monitor and GPU can handle up to 4K
(Plus you can now set shadow resolution from the default 512x512 up to a pretty massive 8192x8192 and MSAA can now be adjusted from the default 2x up to 16x which I think is mostly used on Crossfire and SLI setups whereas single GPU's normally works up to 8x.)

I tried the shadow resolution at 8kx8k but it looks fake, although precise in other uses, but just fake looking on character models.

4kx4k works really well. And as said 16x is for multiple GPUs, or dual GPU cards, 16x will work on a single GPU but it will push it very hard to the point of burning it.

And here I burned through XIII before they fixed the resolution. I played the whole thing in 720 with silly bars around the screen despite that one guy's third party fix. Frankly it wouldn't work for me the way everyone else was saying. No worries...it was still a great game and I never got to finish it before so it was loads of fun.

wait so does this mean they actually do support 2560x1440 resolution?

or it's still 1080 but now you can play in fullscreen mode instead having bars around the screen?
