Is it possible to play the game WITHOUT going online or through the UBISoft servers?

I don't believe so, not that i've found anyway.

You need to be online at least once to activate the game with Uplay.

But theoretically, the game is playable with uplay in offline mode.

They warn that Force Quitting may have "adverse effects." I tried it in AC Brotherhood and my save game was bad. I had to replay some areas. I'd love to shut em down, but I'm a little gunshy now.

I don't know if that happens everytime, anybody else tried it?




There is still a petition to UPlay you can sign. It still needs about 100 more sigs. You have to fill in your info to submit.

I have the UBI retail version and not the steam version of the game. The trainer doesn't work. It does not crash. All of the audio prompts work..."Trainer Activated" etc., but none of the actions do anything. I was wondering if it was because of having to go online. I start the trainer, then start the game, which goes online, activate it, but nothing works.
Is there something else I should be doing?

Make sure you are using the right trainer: that it matches the patch you're running and grab the retail version of the trainer and not the steam version.
