You could do like me and play only with the unlimited potions option on(Num4), that avoids a lot of trouble. Including constant crashing.
Ever since I started playing with that option only, I did not crash a single time, and that's 22+ hours of gaming.

I ended up following this advice with my reaver-specced warrior, and it worked well. It certainly qualifies as a work-around, but so be it.

That said, I was underwhelmed by the Reaver spec in general and wish I had chosen another. I attempted to role-play my warrior as the Inquisitor who becomes increasingly power-hungry, and I envisioned the Reaver spec as a more brutal, even evil, choice. However, the spec seemed to have no impact on the story outcome.

The bug is pretty simple to figure out.

The way option 1 (god mode) of the trainer works is that it gives you something like 1,000,000hp and then freezes your hp at that. You can see this is the case when you activate this ability and mouse over yourself in tactical camera mode (the mode that shows hp bars and buffs/debuffs).

Reaver spec gives you bonus damage per missing hp percentage. So like you get 10% more damage for every 5% hp you are missing. The problem is, it appears that they didn't set a boundary so that this bonus can also go negative probably because they didn't expect you to end up having 1,000,000 hp out of 500 hp.

So instead of giving you a 0% bonus, it gives you -4000% bonus damage.

This also affects Iron Bull if you take Iron Bull with you. He's locked into Reaver spec and he'll end up doing 1 damage.

Strangely never had this problem with my first character which was reaver spec, however I didn't use most of the abilities for the obvious reasons that it was based on health lost. Still used the AOE and other parts of it just fine, however.
