Cool, I was afraid to go to the places with armed men. Don't want to lose my survivors. Now we have God Mode, unlimited ammo and unlimited Scavenge-time. Yay!

Wonder what happened to 1A through 1F though...

EDIT: Anyone try a backstab with God-mode enabled?

EDIT2: When using the resource multiplier, it gives me a load of saws, crowbars, shovels and axes. And then the buttons stop working. Does that mean I'm using it on the unpatched version?

I am having what I hope is a simple problem:

I have downloaded the steam cheat from 11/19. When I run it, the trainer comes up for anywhere from 0.5 to three seconds and then just shuts off... window goes away, process is no longer running.

I have tried running it as admin, running it under windows XP SP3 and run IE 11 down to IE 8... still does the same thing.

Can anyone help please?

disable/uninstall all AV, firewall and other security software. right click run as admin on trainer.

It is a dilemma. Usually, the people that can't get the trainers to work are the same people that really shouldn't run without an AV and an active internet connection, which is the exact condition recommended for the trainer to work. A conundrum wrapped in an enigma.

PWizard (or anyone else) -- any response to / helpful input regarding my post (on the previous page) about God Mode not working as advertised?

Numpad 6: God Mode - use this powerful option to prevent your character
from being killed by attacks. This also prevents NPC from
being damaged as well, which may be helpful in other missions.
Keep in mind while this is active, YOU cannot damage other NPC
either. However, note that NPC and you attack each other in
'turns'. So you can wait for them to attack you, then when
they are done toggle the option off and attack back (preferably
with a gun), then turn the option back on. Basically this
option allows you to Scavenge without fear of being killed
if you leave it on. Toggle OFF when not needed.


I just tested it without problems here and was able to kill people when I turned it off... nobody else is reporting the problems you have/had.

I appreciate the condescending tone from you and whisperer but I don't run with a firewall or antivirus... never have. I do not even have antivirus installed and the windows firewall is turned off (it was off before but I confirmed that it was still off).

As I posted, I tried clicking "run as administrator". It does what I said: starts up, runs anywhere from 0.5 to 3 seconds then shuts off...

I also tried downloading another copy of it... did not change anything.

I realize a million noobs get on here and ask stupid questions but I attempted to fix this myself by reading the generic troubleshooting forum (hence the removal of IE 11 back to IE 8) and none of that worked.

Some real advice would be appreciated.

Something on your PC is blocking it. Most likely AV, firewall or other security software based on your description. No way for us to know what it is since the other 1,000+ other members using the trainer have reported no such issues. I would recommend doing a Windows clean boot and going from there or perhaps a fresh windows reinstall.
